Owners, Leanne and Arty de Vries, said they’re getting lots of excellent feedback from customers about the new premises, and they’re seeing more people in the shop, thanks to the high-traffic location and the bakery’s prominent facade, which makes it more visible and attractive to town visitors and tourists. Along with a wide variety of fresh bread – including sourdoughs, white, wholemeal and multigrain loaves and rolls - the bakery offers a wide selection of savoury delights, including crispy salad rolls, quiches, mini pizzas, toasties, focaccias, garlic bread, and a wide variety of delicious new pie varieties, as well as pasties and sausage rolls. You’ll also discover a mouth-watering range of cakes and treats, including amazing vanilla slices, cream-filled lamingtons, an array of doughnuts, truffles, cupcakes, carrot cake, eclairs, biscuits, custard tarts, caramel slices, and lots more! The bakery makes excellent espresso coffee, using beans from Honeybird Coffee in Mount Beauty, and you can enjoy your coffee and treats in-store at the comfy dining tables, or takeaway. Swifts Creek Bakery is located at 6875 Great Alpine Rd, Swifts Creek, and is open Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm, and Saturdays from 7am to 2pm. It is closed on Sundays.
